After traveling to 57 countries, I found my heart in Fukue Island.
Inspired by the simple pleasures of island life, I dreamed of creating a place where people could connect with nature and each other.
This over 60-years-old house, discovered in October 2022, became the foundation of that dream.
"GIVE ME FIVE" symbolizes the connections we hope to foster here.
The logo, featuring two intersecting lines, represents the coming together of people and nature. Inspired by my travels, I wanted to create a place where guests could feel at home and connect with the heart of Goto.
I hope you'll leave with a high-five in your heart, ready to share your experiences with others.

With the help of our community, I transformed this over 60-years-old house into "GIVE ME FIVE - camp & stay -". By sharing my renovation journey on social media, I connected with people who offered their support and expertise. Together, I overcame countless challenges and celebrated the grand opening on March 15, 2024.
With roots in Fukuoka and Saga, I was raised in Chiba, soccer being my life. As the youngest of three, I was quite spoiled and eventually found myself at Komazawa University. A month-long European trip during my sophomore year was a turning point.
My twenties were a rollercoaster of ups and downs, especially in my relationships with my family. But through it all, I've learned to trust my instincts, even when I'm careful to consider all the options. I believe that staying young at heart is the key to a fulfilling life.
The owner
I felt trapped in this mold of the 'ideal' life: a nine-to-five job, marriage, and all the material possessions that come with it. But deep down, I knew it wasn't for me. The dream of traveling the world never left me, and in June 2017, I finally took the leap. After exploring 57 countries, I realized I wanted to give back to the world that had given me so much. I moved to the Goto Islands with a vision of creating a space where people could feel welcome and cared for. But let's not sugarcoat it: I'm also a bit of a hopeless romantic who's struggled to commit to a serious relationship.

"While traveling through 57 countries over two years, I kept a travel journal, writing about each country as I experienced it. After my trip, I felt compelled to share my adventures, so I compiled my raw, unfiltered writings into a book. I've selected 20 of the most memorable stories to share with others. You can find the ebook on Amazon Kindle, but I also have a physical copy here at the guesthouse.
Please feel free to browse through it. If you come across something that catches your eye, don't hesitate to ask me about it. I'd love to share the stories behind the words."
